Why I Choose To Share My Story
As I age and reflect on my life, I’ve realized how much my journey has shaped me. Through the joys and hardships, the laughter and the tears, I have come to see that my experiences were not just meant for me—they were meant to inspire, encourage, and give hope to others. That is why I chose to start sharing my story.
Life has brought me through many challenges. I’ve undergone brain surgery, felt the deep effects of alcoholism, and walked through the shadows of mental illness. I have experienced the loss of my parents, the pain of being kept away from two of my grandchildren, and the weight of loneliness and seclusion. But through it all, my faith has grown stronger. God has been my rock, guiding me through every storm and reminding me that I am never alone, even in my darkest moments.

There have been bright moments, too—raising and homeschooling a grandchild, cherishing time with my children and grandchildren, and finding joy in the little things. I love the peace of early mornings, a good book in my hands, the thrill of dirt track racing, and the creativity of home decorating. These simple joys have kept me grounded and reminded me that even in a life full of struggle, there is always something to be grateful for,
I know I’m not alone. I hope that by sharing my journey, I can offer encouragement to those who are struggling. Life isn’t easy, but it is full of purpose. If my story can bring even a little bit of hope to someone else, then every challenge I’ve faced has been worth it.
I’d love to hear from you. Have you faced challenges that shaped who you are today? How have you found strength in the midst of struggles? Share your thoughts in the comments—I’d love to hear from you.
