About Me

Hi, I’m Judy. I’m a wife, mother of four, and proud grandma to ten beautiful grandchildren.

At 68, I’ve lived through life’s joys and struggles and Grandma’s Journey Blog Posts is where I share the real, unfiltered story.

I carried my burdens quietly for much of my life, always portraying that everything was fine—even when it wasn’t.  I have a huge heart that loves deeply but also feels deeply, and for years, I felt unseen, as if few people truly knew the real me.  But as I’ve grown older and stronger in my faith, I’ve embraced the freedom to live as my true self—no longer hiding behind a mask of “I’m okay,” but instead, standing in my truth with courage and grace.

I’ve faced brain surgery, lived with the impact of alcoholism, raised and homeschooled a grandchild, experienced the heartache of a grandchild being adopted, and endured the pain of being kept from two of my grandchildren. I’ve walked through mental illness, loss, and hardship, yet through it all, my faith has been my anchor.

Outside of my journey, I find joy in watching my grandchildren grow and attend their activities, home decorating, getting lost in a good book, and feeling the adrenaline of dirt track racing.  But most of all, I find purpose in sharing my story—because if my struggles and triumphs can help even one person feel less alone, then every challenge has been worth it.

I invite you to walk this journey with me—through heartache, healing, faith and finding the strength to live as the person we were meant to be.

“Life’s struggles are not meant to break you, but to mold
you into the person you were meant to be.”
